The DuPage County Crime Stoppers Program began in 1991 from the combined efforts of then DuPage County Sheriff Richard P. Doria and all the other county law enforcement chiefs. Crime Stoppers now operates as an independent organization. Donations of airtime, newspaper space, and reward monies have established Crime Stoppers as the leader in taking anonymous phone tips in the greater DuPage area and a most effective tool in the fight against crime. |||
