Sheriff Zaruba organized Safety Saturday in an effort to heighten public awareness about safety and crime prevention. Divisions of the Sheriff`s Office, as well as municipal police and fire departments sponsor exhibits and provide information to adults and children.

Many exhibits are designed to teach children about safety. Free balloons, Halloween bags and other items are handed out to children and McGruff the Crime Dog will be on hand. Refreshments are available.
