8/2/2011 - Armed Robbery - Carol Stream, Illinois

The Carol Stream Police Department is investigating an Armed Robbery that occurred on 08/02/11 at 0349 hours at the 7-Eleven located at 550 Army Trail Road (Army Trail Rd @ Kuhn Rd).  Two Male/Blacks entered the store and directed the clerk to open the registers.  One of the suspects held a black in color semi automatic hand gun to the back of the clerk’s head.  It is unknown at this time how much change and currency was taken.

 

The suspects were described as being African American, slim builds approximately 5’07 to 5’10’, wearing all black clothing and ski masks. 

 

The Gunman was wearing a black in color Hoody with white lining, white old school Nike type high tops, and what appeared to be a black studded or military style belt with multiple rows of holes.

 

The second suspects was wearing a black hoody with a red stripe and bold black lettering “AVIREK” with the symbol of “Ecko Clothing”.  The hood was also lined in red, black work boots and what appeared to be a black and white striped shirt protruding from the back of the hoody

 

Suspects fled east bound from the 7-Eleven.  A K-9 Unit was called to the scene and tracked for approximately 100 yards to the rear of an adjacent strip mall.
