***Armed Bank Robbery*** WHEATON, Ill. – On December 27, 2011, at approximately 7:00 p.m. a bank robbery occurred at the TCF Bank located within the Jewel store at 2031 N. Main Street Wheaton, IL. A lone male suspect approached the bank counter and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect implied that he was armed with a gun. The clerk in fear of his life gave an unknown amount of cash to the suspect. No one was injured and no shots were fired inside of the bank. The suspect fled from the scene in a grey or silver colored small sedan. The sedan was last seen Eastbound on Geneva Road from Main Street. The suspect is described as; Male; White; Approximately 30 – 40 years of age; Approximately 5’08” to 5’10” in height; Thin build; The suspect wore a dark colored jacket with hood, glasses, and a cloth covering his nose and mouth. Wheaton Police Detectives and agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation are investigating this robbery. It remains unknown if this is the same suspect who robbed this same location in October of 2011.

WHEATON, Ill. – On Dec. 5, 2011 at approximately 3:57 p.m., a bank robbery occurred at the Fifth/Third Bank located at 1500 N. Main Street in Wheaton. A male suspect walked up to a teller inside of the bank and presented a note demanding money. The suspect implied that he was armed with a gun. No gun was displayed. The teller complied with the demand. The suspect was given an unknown amount of cash. The suspect fled on foot running northbound. No one was injured during the robbery.. The suspect is described as: Male,African American,19-22 years of age,6’00”-6’02” in height, Approximately 150-175 pounds, Wearing a black stocking cap, black coat, gloves, and dark glasses

Wheaton, IL — On Tuesday at 2:23 p.m., the Wheaton Police Department responded to the TCF Bank located inside the Jewel-Osco, at 2031 N. Main St. for an activated hold-up alarm. The alarm was confirmed as a robbery that had just occurred. The suspect approached the bank counter and provided the teller with a hand-written note requesting money from the cash drawer. The teller complied with the request and the suspect was last seen exiting the store through the west entrance. The suspect did not display any weapon to bank personnel. The suspect was described by bank personnel as a: white male; approximately 20-30 years of age; 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 5 inches in height; 180 pounds in weight; unshaven with blond-colored facial hair; wearing a band aid under his right eye; dark colored eyes; wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt; dark colored jeans; and spoke with a stutter. Robbery of the West Surban Bank, 895 E. Geneva Road, Carol Stream - Illinois

An unknown male suspect is being sought in connection with a series of bank robberies which were committed in the Chicago suburbs since 2002. In each of the robberies the suspect entered the banks/credit unions wearing a dark-colored ski mask. In a majority of the bank robberies, he wore a dark-colored hooded jacket and gloves. Once inside a bank, the suspect displayed a black, semiautomatic handgun and ordered the tellers to provide money from their cash drawers. In several of the robberies, the suspect used either a shopping bag or a black shoulder bag to carry the money. The suspect then would exit a bank and would be seen making his getaway on foot. In addition, the weather conditions during the majority of the robberies consisted of either snow or rain. The unknown suspect is also believed responsible for three additional robberies in November and December 2006.

At least three bank robberies in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, between February and March of 2007. In each robbery, the suspect approaches the teller counter wearing a coat and gloves. Once at the teller counter, he presents a demand note stating something similar to "Put the money in the bag. I have a gun." During two of the robberies, the suspect opened his coat to display a handgun. During each robbery, the suspect has worn the same black coat with red stripes, apparently splattered with white paint (hence the nickname). He typically wears a dark shirt, work pants, dark gloves, and a baseball cap.
