The Bloomingdale community has recently experienced four residential burglaries, having occurred during the evening hours.
Upon their return home, victims / homeowners found that person(s) unknown had gained entry to their residences and removed various items, including articles of jewelry.

Oak Brook police responded about 6:15 a.m. Friday, New Year’s Day to report of shots fired near Spring and Harger Roads in Oak Brook. When police arrived to the area just east of Oak Brook Shopping Center, they found a female in a vehicle with a gunshot wound.Melissa Bridgewater, 45, of Bolingbrook was shot in her car. She was leaving the Doubletree Hotel at 1909 Spring Road when she was shot by an unknown offender. The victim’s ex-husband, Jerry L. Hudson, 48, has been declared by police as a person of interest wanted for questioning in the case. Jerry Hudson, who has the nickname ‘Shorty’ has a last known address of Bolingbrook.Investigation is underway with Oak Brook Police Department, the Felony Investigative Assistance Team (FIAT) Major Crimes Task Force, DuPage County Sheriff’s Office, and the DuPage County Assistant State’s Attorney’s office.
